I was at the Sal yesterday, and there were some nice items of vintage clothing, including a Donnybrook deco coat (there's a photo of one on my blog - October 2010 post), and a 1970's Indian print wrap skirt. Then there was this really attractive sweater, which I was sorta waffling about since it would have been something to sell, not wear (wool gives me a rash), and I wasn't too sure I'd be able to get good $$ for it. But I was still thinking about it.
So while I'm shopping into the store comes this young fashionista, the type who spent an hour an a half on her clothes, hair and make-up just to go thrifting. I see her grab a vintage muu muu. I'm thinking 'She's clueless. There's no way she's going to be able to sell that.'
She notices the coat I'm carrying, and I can tell she wishes she had gotten to it first.
Then I see her with MY SWEATER.
It drives me NUTS when I see somebody score something awesome before I got to it.
Even though it WAS my fault not to grab the sweater when I had the chance, but that doesn't reduce my pain
