My husband,brother-in-law and myself decided to make the trip yesterday. From Kissimmee,it took an hour drive to Mt.Dora.I was floored when we pulled into the parking lot...wow.They had an outdoor antique show going  so we skipped that because there was other exciting stuff to see.Boy oh boy,i was like a kid in a candy store.I found this really neat little white upholstered antique chair for $10,but the mister said "how are you getting it in the car?"Well there went an opportunity.Darn it.I would have made it fit.I found a really pretty antique cameo necklace on a gold chain for $7.00 from this really charming little old lady.We had been there for three hours when the BIL got hungry. The mister looked bored so we left. But I will be back.I am on a hunt for Tupperware.

I thought you meant Renninger's in PA!  It's the same Renninger's and there's two in PA - one near Kutztown, and the other closer to Ephrata.  Both AWESOME - the Kutztown one has both the antiques angle, plus farmers market (i.e. Amish people selling produce and meat and stuff) angle.

Someday I will get to the one in Florida.

We have all been there! Once too often and I have now learned to keep the trunk of the car or the back of the van unloaded on weekends.
Also I always carry a supply of various bungee cords and twine. Not much I won't try to fit on the roof of any vehicle. The challenge there is I am only 5 foot tall, but can usually convince someone to help.
Getting it off the roof, alone at home, seems to be much easier.

That sounds like alot of fun, I can hardly wait until the outdoor flea markets begin here.  I went to a new indoor flea market this weekend that was not very good, maybe it will get better as they add vendors.

The thrifts are starting to pick up.  Over the weekend I picked up a NWT adorable spring sweater with original TJ Maxx price tag of $25.00 for 3 bucks, four pink depression glass plates for 2 bucks, a new in box set of etched Czech crystal wine glasses for 5 bucks (6 glasses) and two Mexican sterling rings, one with turquoise & one with a cat design- 50 cents each.  I hope the good donations keep coming!

I'll have to settle for waiting until they actually have outdoor flea markets here. There are exactly two indoor flea markets: one that's absolutely terrible and another whose big claim is "America's largest jewelry exchange." It's not much better.

I booked a weekend in May for the antique radio fair at the Kutztown Renningers. Not to be missed if you're into that kind of thing...as I know a certain few of you are. Wink

I was bummed out to see that the new indoor flea market had little variety, as it is a fairly short drive.  My daughter went to an auction with her friends family up in New Hampshire.  She said the people attending were a bunch of hayseeds for the most part & there was a fair amount of junk, but some nice stuff too & just about everything was 10 bucks or less, I might have to check it out sometime to find a hidden gem, I hope.

I'll have to try to hit the one in Ephrata sometime... Might be a bit of a pilgrimage, but could be a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your story!!
