ooh, I love A Christmas Story. I only first saw it about 3 or 4 years ago. It was on TBS, (and is on TBS every year), so I had to buy the DVD. So funny. I also am a big Home Alone fan as far as holiday movies go.

What this has to do with thrifting, i don't know. just wanted to add.

HA the Moms hair annoys me too! its a style from when the movie was made and I hate it!!!!

I also hate the hair from the movie Dances with layered 80's hair, Oh I mean Dances with wolves

I'm with you.  I thought I was the only one bugged by non-period hairstyles in period movies.  That Dances With Wolves hair has bugged me for years and the mom's frizzy perm in A Chrismas Story bugs me more since we watch it every year.  I guess they blew the whole budget on the sets and didn't have enough left over for believable hairstyles.

Last year Good Buddy decided our Christmas tree was too much of a pain to put up, so we did without.  What a Scrooge, huh?  We got it off season at Target for $10.00 and it has sat in a box in our garage since the first time we used it.  This year we're going to Atlanta for Christmas, so I don't think any decorating will get done over here.
