Surely, you've seen some odd thing and wondered what you could do with something like that!  Isn't that part of our souls...using the perfectly good in a productive, inventive way?  

I'd love to see a contest with before and after pictures, and the costs have to be less than say, $5 or $10?

Anyone game?

I think this is already covered in "The Crafty Thrifter" forum.  eclectic girl made a skirt from a pillowcase and a table from a suitcase.

This weekend, I "repurposed" a pair of pants I bought.  They didn''t fit well and the zipper got stuck towards the top.  I had a denim shirt where there was a rip in the underarm.  I cut off the arms of the shirt, then cut off the legs of the pants.  I then handstitched the pant legs into the armholes.  The shirt body is denim, the arms are toile.  It looks pretty cool!
