Yep, I've been doing it for years but they do have meet a strict standard.  It has to look new for the most part.  I don't mind getting thrifted gifts, I know some people are offended though.  One year we were really broked so I thrifted some great, like new clothes for my kids for their birthdays and Christmas.  They didn't know the difference or care but my mother...she asked where I got them.  Coulda kicked that woman!  I just said a store but she knew and the look on her face....  Angry

I do alot of gift baskets some of which I get paid for and I sometimes use thrifted baskets but only the very best looking ones.

I give a lot of thrifted presents, and I also send vintage cards that I find in thrift stores. Some of them are priceless (I mean, in intrinsic value), and people seem to enjoy getting them.
