Have any of you ever spotted stuff you donated in the thrift store you might be shopping in? It's a little surreal. :-)

Once I donated some ugly dishes to my favorite thrift.  They weren't old, they weren't a "name" brand, they weren't expensive...but there they were on the shelf a few weeks later, marked "collectible" and tagged at four times the price of other dishes.  And then they were gone.  I hope the person who bought them enjoys them.  I sure didn't.

Funny you should mention that...I was thrifting a few months ago and spotted 3 sweet Aloha shirts.  I scooped them up and on my way to the register realized that they were ones I had donated a week before.

I almost did...when I realized I was about to rebuy the shirts, I laughed out loud like some of the crazy people that frequent the store.  It was then that it dawned on me...I've become one of the crazy people!

Yes, Sprock, you are now officially one of "them" Cheesy Cheesy  or:  one of us!

But you say it like it's a bad thing!!  No, no! Crazy thrifter+Good!

Yes, I've seen some stuff I've donated at thrifts and it's funny because I'm still drawn to it. It's also funny because the stuff I thought would sell didn't.

Well, at least you didn't take the shirts HOME and then realize they were yours.  Grin

I've seen stuff I donated be really well-displayed... It was like my one Express outfit was haute couture or something the way they had it on a mannequin... Totally cracked me up when I realized it had been MY outfit.

It was bought up really quickly, too. Hope someone wears it in good health! :-)

wash - yes
donate to - goodwill
deduct donations - absolutely

We donate 4-6 times per year.

That is all.
