Do you ever hear a particular thrift call your name?  I do.  There is a thrift about 20 minutes south of me that has a once a month fill-a-bag-for-$5 sale.  The sale is held the first week of the month.  I usually try to make it down for the sale.  I was curious, tho, to see how well stocked the shop is in the days before the sale.  I have been trying to make it there all week, and I think it's calling my name.

Somedays I think about skipping my thrift run if I have alot to do, but then I think about what treasure I might miss so I usually end up going.  Can't stand to think about what I might miss!

I find the best stuff sometimes when I take a detour to the thrift...

Just this Wednesday I decided to drive out (40 min away) to a thrift I don't go to that often. For some reason I felt I hadn't been there in a long time and thought they might have something...boy was I happy I went because I found a gorgeous Colonial Bands JADITE Fire King mixing bowl for 95 cents!

40 minutes is a long way for me to drive to a thrift... but I will do it if I feel the need... so glad you had luck finding a great piece of Fire King!
