I just mentioned to my DH on Wed that soon we'll be seeing all sorts of older digital cameras at the thrift stores.  So last night we're at the Sal Army and low and behold there is a digital camera in the case for $1.99.  It's older, only 1.5 mp but hey it's good enough for him to take on his twice a year camping trips for a few pictures.  Mean me won't let him take our good one  Grin   I've seen plenty of really expensive nice 35mm cameras for dirt cheap but this is only the 2nd digital camera I've run across.

Like all technology, when the new stuff arrives, the old stuff is cast aside.

With digital cameras, though, you should be sure that all the accessories are with it, or that they are available (memory cards are still available, USB cable is with it or available - USBs are NOT standardized!, batteries are current, or if it's a rechargeable that the correct charger is with it or available, etc.)

See you next time
bye for now
