Is that orange phone a wall model or table?  I am glad you did well.

O duh. What I meant to ask was:  is there an orage rotary table phone? The orange one in the pic looks like a pushbutton.

Are they naturally orange like that? Who would have owned a orange phone? I know Batman would have had a red one. And the commisioner. But who would own an orange phone?

Yes, those phones are the original color.  I do have an orange rotary desk phone, but I did not take it to this show.  The truth is anyone who ordered an orange phone would have gotten one.  Granted, orange was not a popular color though.

Jay, your booth is great! Wish I could have been there.

BTW, reading about your finds on here inspired me to buy an avocado trimline phone the other day (it was about $2). I have no idea what to do with it! Is it worth anything? (See! reading this forum can be dangerous; well, at least it wasn't a huge investment.)  Roll Eyes

It depends on how the phone is equipped, and how good the condition is.  Value can be anywhere from $1 to ~$150.  The most valuable would be a 10 button touch tone model (No * or # keys) with round buttons.  The least valuable would be a touch tone model with square buttons.

Those were full size stand mixers.  A GE Tripple Whip and a Sunbeam Mixmaster model 3.  The Fire King Tulip bowls always get looks, but at $225, its the most expensive set of mixing bowls we have.

My mom would have wanted those orange phones "back in the day" if we'd had a phone in the living room - it was gold walls, chocolate brown couch with orange throw pillows, ashtrays and compotes..........

Foutchie, your mom and my mom would have absolutely agreed about the decor colors.

Add to it a bit of Early American complete with eagles and liberty bells, and there ya are!

Well into the 90s my mother was still trying to find replacement things in orange, goldenrod, olive and rust. You gotta admire the perseverance.

Eagles!!!!   We had eagles too!   In fact, I think one or two of them moved with them and are still hanging!
