I picked these up at a garage sale, and they look so familiar, but I can't think of what they are called. Anyone know?? Thanks!

They're Fisher-Price.  Probably from a Fisher-Price playhouse or school or something similar.

I think they're Fisher Price little people --- very cute and collectible!

I am not sure if they are Fisher price, they don't look like any of the Little People or later Chunky Little People.  I don't know if Fisher Price has other lines with different figures though.  Many companies have imitated Little People.  Hope you get an answer, maybe try searching Ebay.

I initially doubted that they were FP, but after some Googling, I came up with this FP set, which appears to be the same basic design.

The body type is somewhat similar.  My feeling still is that these are little people knock-off figures, but I could certainly be wrong.  I would email these people:

THey know alot about Fisher Price and seem happy to answer questions.
Here is their guide to the Little People types:

I made a big dumb dumb move today at a church sale by passing up this 1972 Fisher Price Carousel-

and for 50 cents too.  I thought it must be missing more pieces than just the people, but after looking at pictures of other ones I see now that it was just missing the people which most of them are.  Ugh!

I did get tons of good loot including a record player- finally! So I guess I can't complain.

Got it! They are called Li'l Playmates. I think Playmates is the brand name. How did I figure this out?? I found another one at a garage sale this weekend, and it came in a little truck, which also had no markings. The trucks tires matched the tires of some little trucks my aunt was just showing me the day before. One of those trucks had "Playmates" on the bottom! Ding ding ding, we have a winner!! Obviously not as collectible, but I'm glad I can put a name to them now!
