Hi,

"Mom" told me that if I find an outfit with nice rinestones buttons I should buy it if the price is right just for the buttons.  Question is, is there is anywere online that you can sell them? I've looked at eBay but didn't see much unless I did the wrong search.

Thanks,

I do the same thing.  Buy garments just for the buttons alone.
But I don't sell them.  I collect them and re-use them or just look at them.  Buttons can be very cheap or very expensive to buy, depending on the kind and condition.  If you are buying rhinestone sorts of buttons make sure they are in good condition and all the stones are there.  They  would be impossible to fix and even I can leave damaged butons behind in a store.  If there are seven or eight you might be able to get enouhg to work with but make sure you say in your ad if any are damaged.
I went to ebay and typed buttons in the search site and hit crafts sections and over 30,000 auctions popped up selling all kinds of button from brand new to vintage.   You should be able to sell hem there.  Be careful of spelling tho.  I have bought expensive fabrics and trims off ebay pretty cheaply because the seller misspelled words like entredeux and there were no other bidders because the ad got lost.  I have no obligation to proof read anyones ad so feel no pity for a seller who is selling w/o doing their homework.

Good Buddy,

Thanks, no I didn't try Etsy.Com as I am not a member yet. Should I join?

mccoysnina,

After I the first post I looked back on eBay as it didn't make sense that I couldn't find rinestones buttons there. And you are correct there are plenty of auctions.  Good job with finding those misspelt auctions. Last year I met a guy who told me he does the same thing with Star Wars crapola.

I like the jacket as a jacket, the buttons are nice too.  You have to have rare buttons to get good prices these days, I find.
