I finally found a few good things at the Salvation Army today.  A cute vintage plaid suitcase with tiny skeleton key for the lock, $2.  Vintage 40's/50's typewriter with the black round keys, working $5.  Lastly an old small wicker trunk $4, too bad the side leather handles are rotted, but the leather closure is still OK and it has a nice look.

There was a cute leather Fossil bag that was only $3 I probably should have got that too.  It was in pretty good shape but some of the leather had darkened and I wasn't sure how well it would clean up.  Another situation where it would be handy to be a dry cleaner!

The weather is suppossed to be quite nice this weekend looking forward to all the yard sales and hopefully yardsale leftovers at the Sal Army next week!

Got a few more goodies from the food bank thrift which is finally picking up again.  Pretty round tablecloth for 3 bucks, I have a hard time finding nice round tablecloths.  Also they had a bunch of brand new mens cotton hankies.  My brother-in-law with allergies uses them and his initials are KC and the hankies were mongrammed K & C! 75 cents each.

Not that this was the best find ever, but I did purchase two suitcases with wheels for my vacation for $4.00 a few weeks ago.

Good finds!  The weather for this week-end is supposed to be a little cooller.  That is great news .  There is a community wide yard sale in a local neighborhood that is both historic and welthy.  I love that sale.  Lots of great finds. DD and I once found two boxes containing hundreds (I kid you not at least 200!)  designer scarves, mostly with tags still attached for $4.  We brought them home and went thru them.  She took the ones she wanted, I got the ones I wanted.  We looked the vintage ones up on ebay.  Many of them going on ebay in the $30 to $50 range. Had we been willing to sell, we could have made a tidy sum.  Two of my sisters took the ones they wanted.  Three of DD's friends took some.  I gave some to my MIL as party favors for a party she was having.  And when everyone had looked thru them that wanted too, I took the remaining grocery bag to the thrift store for others to buy.  A lot of good stuff for $4.
