I found these cute berry bowls at the Salvation Army for 29 cents each.  I thought they were unusual but they are not marked.  They are in perfect condition so they might be something new- anyone know who makes these?

I've not EVER seen anything like that. Just because they are so unusual I'd have bought them too.

Someone remarked to me that they look Japanese, so I googled sauce bowls and found a site selling tempura bowls that were the same exact shape, so I guess they are dipping sauce bowls.  Still an unusual design though, I'll have to make tempura sometime!
