can't wait to get out and thrift!

« on: November 28, 2007, 03:44:58 PM »

hi all,
i just read this book over thanksgiving. has anyone else read it? i learned a bit..
1.maybelline. i'll be a star overnight.
2. biz for stains (i'm gonna get me some of that)
3. i have no interest in alligator purses, but now feel compelled to search the racks for reptile hides.

out of curiosity, i checked ebay for hermes kelly purses - i thought i was seeing things! over $10,000 for a purse??!! if someone gave me that kind of money, you can bet i wouldn't be spending it on a BAG!

what did y'all think of the book? i'd love to go to her shop. actually, i'd love to send some stuff TO her shop - i found a beautiful chocolate brown double breasted ladies pantsuit yesterday that i could only imagine would be worth some bucks in NYC. it was $12. i'll let it sit on the racks a few more days, and see if it's worth going out for on friday (half price day).

We had a discussion on this book several months ago. It's great, isn't it? Smiley

I checked out the website, very nice.  They also mentioned this forum and there's a picture of someone who looks very familiar dressed in an outfit she put together for less than $10.
