Last Saturday I stopped at Krogers and was thrilled to find
1# packages of deli thin sliced honey ham marked on sale from $3.99 to .99 each.  The expiration date isn't till mid October.  When I checked with the clerk, he said that someone made an error and instead of ordering 2 cases of ham they ordered 22!  He said they had to mark it down or they'd never get rid of all of them.  I helped out by buying 6 packages.   Grin

Very cool buy! I just love coming across deals like that! It makes you feel so good. And provident. That was good timing on your part!

I agree any kind of deal (thrift, grocery etc.) is always very exciting.  At one of my local Salvation Army stores there is a guy who brings in stacks of coupon circulars and the store just leaves them out for people to go through.  Surprisingly not that many people go through them so I get lots of coupons.  The guy brings in multiples of the same circular so if there is a good coupon I can get a whole bunch of them.  They tend to be scattered all around the store so as I am shopping I will run into another circular.  Its always a win now to go to that store even if I don't find any vintage goodies at least I go home with some coupons!

BTW if you have a cat that eats fancy feast those FF Gravy Lovers coupons that are circulating now will work on any variety of FF.  Just my coupon tip of the day!  Cheesy

I agree. I love bargains like that. I go "clearance" grocery shopping before work at a little grocery store.  I have found tremendous markdowns shopping this place early Smiley
