Right by the exit door there is a hand sanitizer dispenser.  Nice touch, considering I sometimes feel icky after handling all the greasy stuff back in the housewares department.

Our local grocery store had started doing that too.  Nice to grab some on your way in so your hands are clean when you pick up your food.  Some in my favorite ts would be nice too.  Always get a little dusty and sticky looking there.

My local grocery stores have the same thing, actually I like to use them on the way out after handling the carts & baskets that probably don't get washed that often.  One discount grocery store I go to doesn't have the hand santizer & the carts are gross!  It would be nice if the thrifts had them too, although mine are pretty clean, I am more grossed out by the discount grocery store, I have got to remember to carry my own.

My son told me that in a pinch hand sanitizer makes a pretty good fire starteeer too, as it is mostly alcohol.  At least the better brands are.  Our local grocery store has started having the cart wipes, and hand sanitizer available for all, along with boxes of Kleenex at each check-out.   They are serious about preventing the flu.

Went to an estate sale last weekend where tons of great deals were found.  Taylor pottery, FireKing etc.  The only problem was the entire home reeeeeked of cat pee!  Nasty stench!  Okay, so how do I hold onto my great scores if my hands are covering up my nose?!  My new addition to my treasure hunting kit:  Vick's Vapor rub.  Saw it used in movies when a stinky crime scene is being investigated.  So, in addition to my hand sanitizer bottle and wipes, I will now have some Vick's to rub onder my nose -- getting rid of that cat piss stench -- and can happily carry my scores!

That goodwheel idea might be considered a nice touch especially considering what is being called the "h1n1 flu pandemic outbreak", but I think people are probably getting a little paranoid imho. In this state for example during a recent news broadcast it was reported that 30 people have died of h1n1 and it's being reported as a pandemic. Blown out of proportion if you ask me.

This mini bottle toting sanitizer craze is probably doing more harm than good. I bet you 9 out of every 10 cars or purses contain a sanitizer bottle. People are killing so much bacteria the body has no chance to build an immunity. This makes me think of a segment from George Carlin's comedy skit "you are all diseased"

Thanks Jay
Because of your post I ordered Hand santizer dispensers for my new store here in Flordia. One as you go out the front door and one was you go out receiving door. Smiley
