Cruising through Goodwill the other day - ended up buying a book for my husband by one of his favorite authors (was that a mistake? He's been reading me passages from the book ever since

) plus a couple of books for me (I later learned that one of them, now long out of print, goes for big bucks on the Internet).
Anyway, I also searched through the spring jackets to try to find a nice one for me. Didn't see anything I had to have, but a jacket with the color combination of quilted pale turquoise with pale lime green lining caught my eye - the label indicated it was from an expensive department store too. But I don't look good in pale colors, so I passed on by.
A little while late, in another section of the store, I saw a woman in the identical jacket - same quilted fabric, same colors. Thinking she might have put the jacket I'd seen on to test for fit and comfort, I went back to the jacket section to see. Well, the jacket was still there, so yes, she was wearing a mate.
I wondered if she wandered over to the jacket section - could have seen that other jacket there, and then maybe grumbled to herself about how much she paid for it at the department store!
I wonder what the odds are, seeing a garment at a thrift store and then seeing the identical garment being worn by a customer at the same time? Happen to anyone else?
