Gainesville?

It looks like I am moving to Gainesville in August.  Does anybody have any info on thrift stores in Gainesville?  I checked out a couple on my visit a couple weeks ago and was really disappointed.  Hopefully, I just didn't visit the right ones.  The Naples/Fort Myers area is loaded with great thrift stores, so I'm kind of upset about my future thrifting prospects.

Because of the college students, the Gainesville thrifts are hit pretty hard.  You may have better prospects when the students are out of town for break...

I used to live near  big university and too true they kept the local thrifts pretty well cleaned out.  But then there were always great moving sales at the of the school year when everyone grauated and went back home!
