On 4/2/06 I went to 2 of the Goodwill Stores in Naples FL.  The first store I visited was located at 3759 E. Tamiami Trail in the Naples Town Centere.  It's a mid-sized store, the prices were good also.  But it was a little disorganized.  When I went through the rack of womens clothing I found several itmes that did not belong there, such as long sleeve shirts in the sleeveless section or mens shirts.  The same disorganization was in every rack of clothes I looked at.  But as I said the prices were reasonable.  The day I visited all clothing with a blue tag was 50% off.  I found several items that I liked but that on closer inspection I'd find a hole in it or a big stain, what a bummer.  So at the end of my shopping there I had found 3 items to buy, one was a blue jean dress for me which had a blue tag, so it was only about $2.50.  I found a blouse for me also but it didn't have any tag on it so it was full price of about $3.29.  The 3rd item I found was a blouse that had no size in it but someone in my family should be able to wear it.  The only label in it was Hermes.  It too had a blue tag so I got this beautiful Hermes blouse that's in great almost brand new condition for less than $2.00!  So I left the store with 3 great items and only paid $8.71 for all 3.  Goodwill charges sales tax on all items.  Most other thrift stores don't.

The clothing was very reasonably priced but you really needed to check each item over carefully.  There were several that had holes, rips, or stains on them.

The other store was located at 99 9th St. South and it's called the Goodwill Boutique.  If I had known the store had the boutique in its name I would have just passed it by.  Everything in the store they thought was worth more than at the other stores, but it was the same kind merchandise.  Everything I picked out to examine closer had a higher price written on the item, not on a tag mind you but on the item.  If they want to charge more then they should write the price on a tag, not on the item, even if it's inside out of sight.  It still might bleed through when you wash the item.  I didn't stay in this store long at all.  I got disgusted with the higher pricing on most items.
