Hello all, I’m Van- an unabashedly nerdy and passionate thrifter living in Jacksonville, Florida. I hope I’m not introducing myself twice for some, it looks like my account was unceremoniously given the boot because my post was gone and I had to recreate it today!

I craft, sew, paint, write, design websites, draw, help run a community garden, all while working 50 hours per week. I hope to offer advice, ideas, and inspiration while learning from others.

I hope to meet other passionate thrifters!

Hi Van!  My husband and I are also thrift stores addicts who troll the thrift stores two days a week to find stuff to buy and resell on Ebay.  He is a commercial architect but since there isn't much building going on right now his hours were cut.   When times were good we used to go to antique stores but switched to thrift stores out of necessity.  We are located in Northern California about 30 minutes from San Jose where all the high tech firms are located.

I am also new - my daughter sent me this site.  My whole family are thrifters and both my daughters are "pros".  I now have a list of Thrift stores in all of Fort Myers and Cape Coral FL - happy shopping!
