Hi, I'm a college student majoring in Arts Management and currently an employee at The Brown Elephant charity shop in Chicago. I aspire to own my own shop one day, so I'm here to soak up as much knowledge about the industry as possible.

Currently, I'm just a grunt at my shop. My daily duties include pricing donations (anything from jewelry to frying pans to books). The training at The Brown Elephant is hands-on. I find myself incredibly intimidated and not very productive when a heap of jewelry or could-be-antiques are put on my pricing table. So, my current focus is to improve my appraisal skills and know-how. I hope you won't mind my many many questions!
