If your shopping hours are from 10:00am-4:00pm Mon-Sat, then you need to be open those hours. A store cannot have those hours and then shut the doors at 3:45pm because the staff wants to get out by 4:00pm.
A thrift shop is like any other business. What your customers see, they believe to be the case. If you close at 4:00pm, they should be able to walk in a 3:50pm and look around for a bit. The last customer of the day could be the biggest spender.
Posting hours and closing early is lying to your customer base. We all know that thrifters love thrifting and you always want to make and keep them happy and coming back often.
Post the hours that you're actually open and keep them. If the staff want to leave by 4:00pm then the store should officially close at 3:45pm.
