I know you're running a thrift shop and you want to sell as much as you can to make as much money for your charity, but don't sell junk!
Always inspect all the items you put out for wear or damage. You don't know how many times I've looked in the knick knacks section of a thrift and seen a figurine without a foot or even head. You want to sell quality merchandise so that shoppers keep coming back. You're after the return customer, always.
Inspect the clothes you put out for ripped seams or missing buttons and stains. The last thing you want is for a customer to be jaded that they bought a nice dress with a stain that they didn't see until they got home. They might never come to your store again. I know it's the customers responsibility to look over the items, but the more extra happy customers you have, the more people they'll tell to come in and shop.
